Privacy

Cookies on this site

This site uses one advertising cookie and nothing else. There is no analytics suite, no session recording, no chat widget, and no advertising network beyond the one named below.

What it is

The Meta pixel, dataset “OAK Web”. When you open a page it tells Meta that a browser visited it, and when you click through to book a table it tells Meta that the booking link was clicked. That is the whole of it.

Reservations are taken by Resy on their own site, which we do not own and cannot tag — so we can see that you set off to book, and never whether you booked, what you ate, or what you spent. Anyone telling you a restaurant pixel knows more than that is selling something.

Why we use it

To know which pages are worth writing. If the happy hour page sends people to the booking link and a photo gallery does not, that changes what we spend our time on — and it means the money behind the occasional Instagram ad follows people who might actually want dinner rather than everyone in Florida.

Turning it off

The switch below stops the pixel loading at all: opted out, this site makes no request to Meta from your browser. It is remembered in this browser only, so it needs setting again on your phone, or after you clear your site data.

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal we treat that as the answer and never load the pixel, whatever the switch says.

Your choice

Measurement is currently on in this browser. Changing it reloads the page, so you can see the change take effect rather than take our word for it.
